WHAT WE DO

We are a community coalition dedicated to the prevention of underage substance use and the promotion of positive youth mental health. Our goal is to have a healthy Tigard community – free from the negative effects of drugs and alcohol – and for our youth to have a positive, supportive community in which to belong and thrive.

COALITION WORK

We believe that engaging our entire community is the best prevention against substance use. We use data to understand the needs of our community and collaborate to find solutions together. We use the evidence-based Communities That Care prevention framework to guide our coalition work and decisions.

COMMUNITIES THAT CARE

We believe in using nationally-recognized and proven prevention systems. Communities That Care (CTC) guides our community through a proven five-phase change process. Using prevention science as its base, CTC promotes healthy youth development, improves youth outcomes, and reduces problem behaviors.

STOP TIGARD UNDERAGE DRINKING & DRUGS (STUDD)

We believe in activating our youth to spearhead the campaign against substance use. STUDD Club activities are planned for inclusiveness and are designed to promote a sense of safety and connection for all students. The Club also conducts educational programs around drug awareness for parents, students, and the community.
